The difficulty to release any habit addiction is whether it is purely habit or whether the habit is stress, anxiety or trauma related and is serving another function to cope with that.
If the latter, then the stress, anxiety or trauma related part of the addiction requires to be released before the mind will release the habit. After all, it is serving a purpose by helping you to cope with your feelings and emotions.
If it is only habit, then the sub-conscious mind usually finds it easier to put things into place and let go of the habit.
If the sub-conscious mind likes the habit, then the expertise of the hypnotherapist will assist the sub-conscious mind to look at the problem to decide how beneficial this habit will be long term. Hypnosis can get you to go 20 years forward based on what has happened to your body from the time you started the habit to how it has affected you to date, and based on that will know how it will affect you in 20 years time. To avoid any detrimental effect, we can negotiate with your subconscious to release the habit.
Does fingernail biting, stuttering, pulling hair, skin picking or wetting the bed come under addictions?
I believe so. It really does not matter; the same solution to release the addiction still applies. If the addiction contains stress, anxiety or traumas then I believe that we need to remove the feelings and emotions from the cause of what created this coping method and the symptom (addiction) will no longer be needed.
